Mitt's father, former head of American Motors and Governor of Michigan was a progressive Republican. He was elected Governor of Michigan in 1962 and was re-elected by increasingly large margins in 1964 and 1966. Romney worked to overhaul the state's financial and revenue structure, culminating in Michigan's first state income tax and greatly expanded the size of state government. Romney was a strong supporter of the American Civil Rights Movement. He briefly represented moderate Republicans against conservative Republican Barry Goldwater during the 1964 U.S. presidential election. He requested the intervention of federal troops during the 1967 Detroit riot. As the elder Romney's record was built on big government initiatives did it have a great influence on young Mitt.

Mitt the younger, implemented progressive new entitlements in Massachusetts ending with his - health care for all - Romney Care. The questions to be answered as this presidential race unfolds are many, but one is most important. If the Supreme Court does not rule against Obamacare will Mitt if he becomes President order its defunding and secondly will he sign legislation that ends it for good? We need to know the answer now because it is important to know if Mitt Romney is the George Soros of the Republican Party.

How Obama created 22 million jobs

I have been forced to concede that Barack Obama is one of the foremost and accomplished economic minds in the US today. Yesterday he claimed he has created 22 million jobs since becoming president, yet those of little faith quickly belittled him and his claim. But they simply do not understand how a truly brilliant mind operates and that he is infallible and incapable of admitting a mistake.

Therefore he must have created nearly 22 million jobs. He just didn't say where or how. So there must be an explanation for his statement -- and there is.

The answer is overseas. Since January of 2009 the US has purchased $1.03 Trillion dollars (average of $342.5 Billion per year) worth of goods from the Peoples Republic of China. Over the same period of time their annual Gross Domestic Product has increased by an average of $466.6 Billion per year.

But more importantly the Chinese have created an average of 11 million jobs per year over this time. Since the US purchases from China averaged 73.4 per cent of their GDP growth it is only logical to assume the US is responsible for creating an average of 8.0 million jobs per year for a total of 24.0 million new jobs created.

When the loss of 1.6 million jobs in the US since he became President is factored the result: job growth of: 22.4 million.

See, our brilliant and fearless leader is incapable of making a mistake or error so it is reassuring to know that his record remains intact. It is just that the rest of us are too ignorant to appreciate his unique gifts.

This picture does not add up. Obama and his minions (the liberal media) are pushing Romney hard, they feel that in a general election the difference between President Obama and Governor Romney will be indistinguishable. Hence a cruise back into the White House for the President. At this stage of the game, with the economy surprisingly showing some umph, (remember it's the economy stupid) a good possibility exist that the President will win a second term. With Romney as the Republican nominee many in the TEA PARTY will have a hard question to answer. "Will they sit out the election?"

With Obamacare lurking behind the curtain, ready to step onto the stage for its opening act in 2014, corporate America its audience has sat back as if mesmerized by all of the hoopla. What these corporate denizens don't realize is that Obamacare is the next giant step of Big Government into the workplace. By forcing companies to provide government approved health insurance to their employees, profitable and non profitable alike, a thundering herd -think sucking sound- of employers will have no alternative but to escape once again the big hand of socialist government by heading for the hills.

For example Big Government has legislative the family leave act, American's with Disability Act, they have forced companies to pay an equal share of social security on wages, it is mandatory to pay state and federal unemployment insurance, to provide workmen compensation and give sick time or personal time off to employees with pay. All of these policies are socialistic in nature, but Obamacare is the albatross around the corporate neck. What worries us is that the corporate masters do not seem to care. We expect Obamacare to cause at least a 1 or 2 percent increase in prices of all products and services by 2014. We wonder where is the outrage by corporate executives who seem to be tongue tied. After all they will have to cope with more government regulations which we all know, is the reason for the present lack of corporate investment.

For some reason corporate executives are afraid to speak up. Why is this? We can only guess; is it that they are receiving or will receive some future benefit from the Obama administration? Are they afraid of government scrutinity with penalties to follow (EPA-Labor Department-IRS) if they don't implement Obamacare; do they have something to hide? Why are they not speaking up? We would like to know what is on their mind.

If it were us running a company and were forced by Big Socialist Government to provide health insurance to our employees, a cost we could not afford, we would have no alternative but to shut down or move out of the country. Is this why our corporations remain silent because they to anticipate moving in 2014? We shall see. One salient point, this Obamacare will turn the healthcare industry into the largest social welfare scheme run by unions that any country has ever seen. Will the Supreme Court rule against it before the election? We patiently wait for their decision.

I 've been saying for a few months that if the Republican establishment foists Romney on the Party as the nominee, and he loses to Obama, there will be no stopping the formation of a new ' Liberty Party ' , driven by tea party and grassroots conservative activists. The only question was - would the "foisting" be demonstrably clear - or would Romney merely prevail with his establishment-funded campaign over the long pull of the primaries?

Seems to me the establishment has now crossed the Rubicon. They are willing to spend $16MM of negative attack ads against the leading Conservative challenger. Their candidate is so out of step with the Party ' s activist base that they were willing to poison the electoral well with a deluge of the brand of negative ads that should NOT be used in a PRIMARY by anyone. There are plenty of "negative" ads that starkly contrast the candidates with issues that ONLY Republicans care about, e.g. degree of fiscal or social conservatism, moderate positions, flip-floping, voting record, sitting on a couch with Pelosi, adherence to principles, ability/willingness to take it to the other side etc. None of these lines of attack should have much traction coming out of the mouth of a Liberal opponent, and therefore do not provide the opposition with ammunition.

However, the establishment PACs and their candidate chose to attack Gingrich on character, personal issues, using lies and every sort of personal disparagement. These lines of attack have paved the way and will give credibility to Obama when he pursues the same lines of attack in the general election. This is the nature of the bright line that should never be crossed in a primary. The Republican establishment has taken the conservative base for granted and crossed us and stepped on us so many times in the past couple decades. This may well be the last time. For if they are successful in foisting their candidate on us this time and they lose, they will have paved their way to the same fate as the Whigs of the 1850s and they ' ll never see it coming. Those anchored within the old paradigm never see its eclipse developing.

Punxhutawney Phil saw his Shadow yesterday and predicted 6 more weeks of winter. However, the stove piped gentlemen of Pennsylvania, in light of the largest shadow ever cast in the Keystone State (think pipeline) reinterpreted what Phil had to say and low and behold Phil was right on, HE PREDICTED 6 MORE YEARS OF WINTER; of course he was talking about the economy. The reason for his prediction was two fold; moochers on the GROUND are HOGGING everything and secondly moochers (AKA Socialists) in Congress are giving the ground hogging moochers what they asked for. Gutenburg invented the moveable type printing press in 1439. Little did he know that his invention would start revolutions,lead to world wars and destruction of the German economy 500 years later. In the early days information was conveyed mostly by word of mouth, of course we know about papyrus, cave paintings and such. more importantly though the printing press allowed mass production of books, later followed by newspapers, telegraph, telephone, radio, television, computers and today the mobile phone.

Freedom of the press , number one freedom in the Bill of Rights was not inserted for invention, but to clarify ones basic right. However, moving forward, governments being fast learners as they are -especially dictators-have taken upon themselves to modify the First Amendment to the Constitution. They have interpreted it to mean that they (all government) can use the printing press as a means to justify their self proclaimed ends. In five hundred years the press has turned into the socialists most important weapon in the transfer of wealth from one part of society to another; not withstanding the ability of government to tax ones income. The printing press has become the instrument of the socialist revolution. Without it, the moocher would have to work for survival, with it he can relax as the government provides succor.

Printing money at will reduces the value of each unit, this is a tax that hides in the shadows, but over time the incomes of the worker begin to buy less. However, to appease the segment of population that a politician needs for survival the press is the tool of choice. A gold standard for monetary creation would prevent the future devaluation of our money. Remember we cannot print gold, but governments can print fiat currency. That is why socialist governments are afraid of gold. "gold is not just money but the best sort of money"

For the uninitiated "CHAINSAW AL" also known as Albert John Dunlap is a retired corporate executive. He was best known as a turnaround specialist and downsizer. The ruthless methods he employed to streamline ailing companies, most notably Scott Paper, won him the nicknames "Chainsaw Al" and "Rambo in Pinstripes". In later years his reputation was tarnished because he allegedly engineered an accounting scandal at Sunbeam-Oster, but putting that aside, where is CHAINSAW AL WHEN WE NEED HIM?

The candidates vying for President of the United States do not cut it nor do they get it. The most recent statistics from the CBO are revealing in what they do not include when comparing salaries and compensation of federal employees with those in the private sector. The numbers below indicate a large schism in benefits paid to federal workers.

The compared workers who were similar in the following characteristics:

Geographic location (region of the country and urban or rural location)
Demographic characteristics (age, sex, race, ethnicity, marital status, immigration status, and citizenship).

…and what they found was staggering.

It’s the benefits that make the difference:

Average benefits for federal workers with no more than a high school diploma were 72 percent higher than for their private-sector counterparts.

Average benefits for federal workers whose education ended in a bachelor’s degree were 46 percent higher than for similar workers in the private sector.

Workers with a professional degree or doctorate received roughly the same level of average benefits in both sectors.

Overall Federal civilian employees enjoy a 48 percent advantage over their private-sector counterparts

The life span of federal workers was not addressed.Neither was their years of work and retirement age. Federal and State workers do not have to cope with layoffs in most cases. They have job security which weighs a whole lot on life style; private sector workers have to cope with daily anxiety and threats of layoffs. TNBTP would bet that the life span of a Federal or State worker is statistically significant more than a private sector employee.Why would it not be, federal/state employees are protected for the most part by unions-collective bargaining which leads to less stress on their nervous. Bottom line here, you the taxpayer is being bilked by the a union led socialist government in place for the past 50 years.

Recent scientific evidence indicates that less stress leads to a longer life span. Additionally, we would like to see federal/state payouts to federal/state workers over their retirement life span compared to those in the private sector. That is where the BIG NUMBER DISPARITY is hiding.Who retires at 50 in the private sector? Most pensions don't kick in until you reach 62 or more.

There is only one way to cull the herd, bring back CHAINSAW AL. IT IS TIME TO DOWNSIZE BIG GOVERNMENT BEFORE IT EATS YOU ALIVE.

Moving trends: More people leave CT, Northeast

Migration trends tracked by the nation's largest moving company show Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine are among Northeastern states with the highest number of people heading out, The Associated Press reports.

The study by United Van Lines also says Washington D.C., continues to be the nation's most popular destination, and that moving households also prefer the western United States.

The study shows just over 56 percent of interstate moves leaving Rhode Island and New Hampshire in 2011.

Fewer than 56 percent of outbound movers were from Connecticut and Maine.

Illinois led the nation in outbound moves, at nearly 61 percent.

United Van Lines has been tracking moves since 1977. Its latest study is based on the more than 146,000 interstate household moves the company handled in 48 states and Washington, DC

Where the Power Lies

It seems pretty clear that what many of us warned about months ago is taking place. The “mainstream” media and the Republican (RINO) Establishment are again dictating who we will have as a candidate to run for president against the fraud currently squatting in the White House. They have savaged all the real conservatives who were running, giving new meaning to the term, “character assassination,” leaving us with a field of has-beens and never-weres to choose from. We have a businessman and failed political candidate who flip-flops more than a fish out of water, a failed Congressman, Third Way Socialist, and paid-up member of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), an over the edge libertarian who has never been able to convince more than a handful of his colleagues to vote for the bills he’s introduced in Congress, in spite of many of them being quite worthwhile, and a failed Senator who is nearly as exciting as listening to your neighbor’s tax problems, but not quite. However, the really pathetic thing is that they are all head and shoulders more acceptable than Obama-Soetoro.

The scary part, though, is how few people seem to grasp the relative unimportance of who the president is. Even constitutionalists seem to have forgotten how little authority the president is actually granted by that founding document. His powers are few and specific, with the power of the purse and to write legislation firmly and unequivocally given to the Legislative Branch. There’s not a thing that the president can do – even a “president” like the current one who seems hell-bent on violating the law and the Constitution at every opportunity – if the Congress chooses to deny the funds needed to carry out the actions. Enforcement of every regulation, the salary of every bureaucrat and judge, the funding for every agency and department, and so on, is dependent on Congress providing the money. And of course, presidential vetoes can be overridden if a majority in Congress chooses to do so.

The Marxist Media have done an excellent job of subverting our election process and of misleading and manipulating much of the electorate. Even though election campaigns have become virtually endless, the new one beginning the day after the election, it’s a safe bet that many, if not a majority, can’t name either the incumbents or challengers running for the House or the Senate where they live. The media, of course, profit mightily from this drawn-out process, selling billions in advertising. And as did the Nazis, our Ministry of Propaganda lives by the notions that a lie is as good as the truth, if you can get people to believe it, and that even the biggest lie will eventually be taken as truth if it is repeated often enough.

Thus, we see the Party of Marx fundraising like there’s no tomorrow, so they can pour money into the pockets of the liemakers, so they will make new Democrat lawmakers. Special interests have, indeed, bought Congress, but their purchases have been mainly Democrats. When you hear Democrats brag about how much money they’ve raised, the vast majority of it has come from Big Banks, Big Brokerage and Hedge Fund operators, Big Unions, Big Environmentalists, Big Fake Green Energy companies, Big Lawyers, et cetera, ad nauseam. Then, knowing the “mainstream” media will never call them on it, they have the unmitigated brass to turn around and point the self-righteously accusatory finger at Republicans. It’s enough to make a vulture puke.

Taking conservative control of Congress – both the House and the Senate - is essential. It will mean getting candidates to run for nearly every open seat, candidates who will take their oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic as sacred. It will mean working even harder than we did in 2010. It will mean supporting candidates we may not agree with on some issues (though not Constitutional ones), and facing the fact someone who you agree with all the time is only to be found in the mirror. Infighting and quibbling over fine points needs to be put on hold until the rescue of America from the brink of totalitarian disaster is complete. United we stand, but divided we fall was never truer than it is today.

More trees will be turned into paper which will be inked into funny money, however this can't last forever. So expect a cataclysmal monetary event sometime in the near future.

The prospects of Newt surfacing with a win in Florida becomes remote by the hour. According to recent polls Mitt will survive to live another day. Mitt looks to Michigan for a win; this is his Daddy's home state and hometown. Motown, once driven by the beat of Berry Gordy, Jr and General Motors, now with the moniker of Government Motors, is in a swamp of its own making. Expect Romney to drive out of Michigan with a win. The state has a very heavy Muslim population-Henry Ford loved Muslims and hated Jews. That being said don't expected Newt to garner much support because of his comment that the Palestinians are an invented people. The truth in this case hurts Newt.

CONNECTICUT ON THE BRINK!

Approximately 85% of municipal property taxes in Connecticut’s 169 towns pay for the wages, healthcare, and pensions of Municipal and Board of Education employees. When union contracts are negotiated behind closed doors resulting in wage, pension and healthcare cost increases for public employees, those costs are passed on to you through your property tax bill. State and municipal employee contracts are subject to the dictates of State Collective Bargaining Laws which neither the Governor nor the majority of State Legislators are willing to reform. These laws have given the public sector unions more power and influence over our State, Municipal and Board of Education budgets and personnel than those whom we elect to serve us.

When formulating the State’s latest budget, Governor Malloy, threw the dice and gambled with Connecticut’s financial future when he executed legally binding state labor contracts locking taxpayers into paying 9% wage increases and four years of job guarantees while he speculated that the state would yield $4.8 billion in pension savings over 20 years. His gift to taxpayers was $1.5 billion in new taxes!

It now appears that the chasm between his speculated pension savings of $4.8 billion and the actual savings of $1.7 billion, as recently disclosed in the article - Nonpartisan analysts: Malloy was way off in projected savings from pension givebacks - are as wide as those at the Swiss Alps, which were recently visited by Malloy.

As the public grapples with the revelation of a $3.1 billion gap in pension savings, we also learn that Governor Malloy is refusing to support proposed State legislative reforms which would control overtime being factored into pensions which now result in many State Employee Pensions of $100,000 and More which can be accessed at the following link… http://www.ctact.org\upload\home\PensionNew.xls.

As the State of Connecticut ’s new transparency website at http://transparency.ct.gov/html/pensionOverview.asp depicts, in 2010, pensions payments were made to 41,950 retirees or beneficiaries totaling over $1.26 billion.

This is what happens when avowed socialists dictate to the taxpayers. Rise up Connecticut in support of your God given rights of life, liberty and justice. If not now, when?
